Celebrating 10 Years in Eumundi: The Story of David Suters Timbercraftsman and Artisans Gallery Eumundi
This June, David Suters Timbercraftsman proudly celebrates a decade of creativity and community in Eumundi. the milestone marks 10 years since the opening of Artisans Gallery Eumundi on May 8, 2015, an event that signalled a new era for local arts and contemporary craft in the region.
Founded by David and Cindy Suters, the gallery was established to support local artists and reverse the trend of gallery closures on the Sunshine Coast, quickly becoming a vibrant hub for exhibitions, networking, and creative exchange.
A Legacy of Artisanship and Community
From its launch, Artisans Gallery Eumundi Provided opportunities for local artisans to showcase their work, host meet-the-maker and artist-in-residence style programs, connecting with the wider community in a prime location on Caplick Way in Eumundi. The gallery’s vision was to foster a resurgence in the arts, supporting both established and emerging artists while enriching Eumundi’s reputation as a creative destination beyond the Eumundi Markets.
Approximately five years after opening, Artisans Gallery was merged into David Suters Timbercraftsman, bringing David’s exclusive timber collections and craftsmanship to the forefront. Today, the Eumundi Gallery Showroom continues this legacy, blending the spirit of the original gallery with David’s renowned timber artistry.
