A ‘Wishlist’ allows you to create a personalised collection of products you are interested in acquiring to furnish and decorate your home or business.

To get the most out of using our ‘Wishlist’, please create a user account, and then save the item for future reference.

When you are ready, then you can login and place an order when you are ready to proceed with a purchase, if the item is still available.

Please remember that each product in our online shop is a unique limited-edition piece because of the individual characteristics of the timber species selected and combinations of materials in our designs, and therefore cannot be made exactly the same should the item in your Wishlist be sold upon your return.

When placing an order in our online store, once proceeding to checkout, your purchase is then placed in our system for action.

An email notification is generated and sent through to us. We then make contact with you, usually within a few hours to arrange payment by direct deposit.

For purchases made of an evening, over weekends or public holidays we will contact you the next business day.

Once payment is confirmed into our account, your item is then prepared for pick up from our Eumundi Showroom, or delivery through the supplier of your choice.

Delivery can be arranged for products purchased in the online shop as well as in person direct from our Showroom Gallery in Eumundi.

With the variable nature of our product range, transportation costs are dependent on size, weight, and delivery location/address, and therefore once ordered, will then be quoted individually per item.

Upon purchase confirmation you can also pick up from Eumundi, or arrange your own transportation carrier direct to your door.

If you’d like a quotation on delivery costs prior to placing an order, please CLICK HERE to contact us discuss your requirements.

For purchases through our online shop, once payment is confirmed, your order can be collected in person from our Eumundi Studio Gallery on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 10am and 4pm.

However, with advance notice, we are happy to make arrangements for collections outside opening hours at a time that is more suitable to you.

With 37 years experience as a custom designer and furniture maker I have created so many unique pieces for clientele throughout Australia and overseas.

Formal training commenced from the young age of 16, fresh out of high school, when employed by a leading New South Wales Custom Design and Furniture Making business as a Furniture Makers Assistant, where I progressed in the trade to achieve a Certificate in Furniture Making.

I then spent 17 years working alongside master craftsman, working my way up to supervising production and training apprentices in the finer skills of furniture making by hand until launching my own business as a custom designer and furniture maker under the “Timbercraftsman” brand.

Being passionate and dedicated to the creative industries throughout my career, over the past 6 years, the business evolved and established one of Eumundi’s eminent Award Winning art spaces, in which I’ve been able to support emerging and established artisans and makers on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland.

The timber used by David Suters Timbercraftsman is sourced and selected from kiln dried or air dried stock.

Whenever possible, David make it his goal to use sustainably sourced plantation grown and managed timbers.

Reclaimed salvaged or recycled timbers are also a great environmental choice to work with; reclaimed timbers can also be given a new lease of life.

For numerous projects, hand selected boards and natural edge slabs are also sourced depending on availability.

The colour and grain pattern varies depending on where it’s sourced, ie where it was grown and how it has been dried, stored and/or preserved over time.

The timber species catalogue accessed via the link below is provided as a guide to showcase the distinctive array of colours, variations and grain of Australian hardwoods and selected imported timbers used together in our designer collections, as well as those individually sourced for custom designed made-to-order projects.

To achieve a fine and durable finish takes meticulous attention to detail and hard work!

There are no shortcuts when it comes to sanding and polishing solid timber. It is most important to sand all surfaces with various grades of quality sandpaper.

Once the required surface preparation is completed, several costs of an industrial clear coat can be applied by spray method, sanding each coat once it has dried.

Up to four coats may be required, depending on the density or porosity of the timber species selected for each product.
